Abstract | In this article, the author expresses his views about the emergence of digital humanities and its impact on the discipline of literary studies and critical theory. Topics discussed by the author include the understanding of digital humanities as a political intervention within literary studies, the need for non-humanist professionals to be engaged in setting standards for professional humanists, and the effect of the advent of digital humanities within English language departments. |
