In Lilly Irani's forthcoming book, she looks at how entrepreneurial citizenship draws people’s lives closer to the connective tissues of experiment, financial speculation, and accumulation. In response to critiques of top-down development, a move toward entrepreneurship enables rhetoric of "anyone can change everything." Within this ethos of entrepreneurship, Irani states that "change is the product of a particular kind of historical agency; change comes about thanks to singular or small groups of visionaries, whose ideas circulate on the media that is other people’s labor and infrastructure."
