The invitation to multimodality seems to strangely discount collaboration among anthropologists. Reflexivity is invoked in relation to decentering ethnographic authority, and to highlight collaborative production of media between anthropologists and their interlocutors, but the traditional model of the lone ethnographer in the field remains mostly intact.
It doesn't really support collaboration because it places the article BEHIND A FUCKING PAYWALL but hey thanks for the "invitation"
The model is very cleary that of the individual humanities scholar. Although the annotation structure is elaborate and sophitisticated, and aligned with PECE's understanding of how concepts and interpretations emerge from the interactions between a reader and a text, the module is designed around an invidual user taking his or her own notes.
