The tabs don't seem to foreground the materials and make a distinction based on type. It could be nice to be able to have the flexibility to organize by content instead or other self-directed categories.
The group page becomes very hard to use when you have a lot of content uploaded. Because it is not organized into subcategories, you end up having a long list of the many many pece essays (for example) and need to just scroll to find the one you want. I wish there was more of a nesting to be able to organize the materials within a group.
I think whereas the project page in my mind is more external facing, the group page is internal facing to facilitate collaborative work and pushing the project forward. So the interface is designed to be for the internal group and to allow the various group work to stay in one place. Design should seek to keep the various comms and materials in one space for the group to work off of. I wish there was a way to have subfolders or ways of organizing the various materials that wasn't just by type (e.g. folders for various types of artifacts to be organized by self-described categories).
Again, this isn't just an interface issue so don't kill me :) But it would be nice if there was a way to get notified about changes that someone makes within a group. So I could choose email notifications or just in-app notifications to let me know if Lindsay annotated an artifact, etc. As it is, only way is to keep randomly discovering it/manually checking back in.
OK, this is probably not possible because this is a bigger build issue and not just UI. But building on Ali's comment, I want to at least say that I would also love to be able to keep more of the conversations within PECE. Slack has been a popular tool for keeping communications off email. I like the clean and simple user interface and ability to focus on convos which I think is a missing but key part of facilitating collaborative group work on PECE.
