Abstract

The author expresses his opinion on the role of cultural theory within the digital humanities and its close analogs in order to argue for a theoretically explicit form of digital praxis in digital humanities. Topics discussed by the author include designing digital tools and applications that emerge from cultural theory concerns, particularly from a feminist concern for difference and the development of computer operating systems that produced both new racial codes and forms of computation.
